Pershore to Evesham

Click for full-size map

This is a moderate, easy to follow 10-mile ride through some attractive villages. If we're honest we'll admit that the outskirts of Evesham are no highlight, but the exit from Pershore is delightful, and both Elmley Castle and Little Comberton are postcard-perfect. This route is not yet signed, but we hope that it'll be the next section to be so.

Follow the B road out of Pershore across Pershore Bridge (look for the attractive old bridge to the north), then turn south just before the hill begins. Follow the minor road through to the A46 south of Evesham. A cycle path then brings you to the edge of the town.

We have planned a safe route through residential streets to an attractive part of town. But to avoid getting lost, until this is signposted, we recommend that you follow the main road to the riverside, then turn right to skirt the river, and turn right on the road out east to rejoin the route. (We'll add a detailed town plan to this page soon.)

Travelling by train

Pershore station is to the north of the town centre. A cycle-friendly route is signed with special blue signs.

Evesham station is also just north of the town centre on the main road.
